What happens to data when you remove a licence on a user?

Hi,

we were wondering what happens to users data and jobs when their licence is removed. Is there a period of say 30 days where it is stored or is it removed straight away?

Hi,

There is no harm to data, if you remove license from user.

They will not be able to login, but all data will remain.

The only thing that happens is that some system generated fields like created by and modified by will show a GUID instead of the users name.

But as other have said all your data will be intact and consistent.

Hi, The only effect is that the Business Central License will be lost in the License window on the user list and user card. There is no effect on any transaction data.
