Import from Excel - NAV2018

Recurring Journals and Intercompany Journals are significantly underutilised at my current employment.

One of the significant reasons identified is that the 'import from excel' function is not available for our recurring journals or intercompany journals - it is active for General Journals.

Without having to go to our support partner, how difficult is this to enable?

The hurdles to get this enabled via support partner is too many.

Hello,

Unfortunately, this is not yet enabled (Edit in Excel for recurring journals). That would require a platform update that your partner cannot provide to you.

Best practice is to search for existing ideas or create a new idea via https://aka.ms/bcideas .

Hello,

Have you looked into using RapidStart that will import an Excel spreadsheet into the Journal Table? Also, Copy/Paste works. You can open the Journal, enter a sample row. Copy the Row to Excel. Fill the Excel sheet. Copy only the rows in Excel, not header. In Journal, make sure all empty. Right click in the far right of the row and click Paste Rows.
