Can I send an email through my Web Based Outlook instead of my Desktop Outlook when clicking Email A Link in CRM? It always defaults to use my Desktop Outlook app but I use Outlook through Office 365. Thank you.

This seems like a pretty obvious feature for MS to make available in dynamics crm 365 and office 365 users. We have a large number of people using the outlook web app because MS doesn’t support the dynamics addin for outlook in OSX. I can’t understand why this is not a feature within this supposedly integrated solution?

It only showed Outlook (Desktop) as my only email option. Is there another way to use Outlook web over the desktop version? I use Chrome as my default browser. Thank you.

Hi,

That opens up the default email installed on your computer (same as if you click a URL and it pops open IE or Chrome). If you don't have a default app installed, you get an error.

If you could get it to work, you'd need to make Outlook web your default email client. Try this: smallbusiness.chron.com/make-outlook-access-default-mail-client-41858.html
