Automatic Updating of Exchange Rates

Hi:

In one sandbox, I did my best to configure automatic daily updating of exchange rates.  Prior to this, we had an exchange rate dated 01/01/2022.

When I ran Update Exchange Rates, it added another rate dated 01/31/2022.  Why not daily rates for every day since 01/31/2022?

And, in another sandbox, it's not going even that well.  Despite the log for the Job Queue Entry displaying "Success", I see no updated exchange rates -- daily or otherwise.  Of course, I did try a free exchange rate update extension.  I could not figure it out.  So, I uninstalled it.  Perhaps, doing all of that messed up the daily exchange rate job queue that I created.

I have read all of the documentation and tutorials on this subject to no avail.

How, easily and succinctly, can I simply perform automated daily updates of exchange rates and where the Local Currency is CAD (Canadian)?

Thanks!

John

    Hi John

For CAD you have a better option than floatrates (usual site that most people use). You can use Bank of Canada. See the guideline below. Specially video that can provide better details.

In this guideline as mentioned in guideline you can change the 2018-07-01 date to any date that you want to start and then it will build the history from that date. I hope this help.

Hi, hope the following will also help.

    PS:

When you complete the setup, a Job Queue that runs daily will be automatically created, and you can view its running history in Job Queue Log Entries page.

Of course you can also run it manually every day.

    Hope this info will help.

    Thanks.
