Deploying UDE failed because no capacity

Hello,

When we deploy UDE with PowerShell, does it mean it is deploying the whole new environment including new F&O apps with its demo data ?

Reason is I just tried to deploy and have Error : No Capacity, as follows:

While actually the night before I have deployed Trial (Subscription based) of F&O apps ->

Does it mean if I delete the "ready" environment, then I will get enough capacity to deploy UDE via PowerShell ?
And with this deploy via PowerShell, I will have D364FO Trial with extend to develop it as well ?

Thanks,

    Hi,

The trial does not provide you with the capacity to deploy more environments. A trial is running on Microsoft capacity for a limited time.
For deploying UDE environments, you will need to have a regular Dynamics 365 F&O or partner sandbox license. That will then give you Dataverse and F&O capacity for the databases and file storage.

I think that a partner sandbox is also available as part of an action pack for Microsoft partners.

    Hi Andre,

No, the 25 SCM licenses is the trial package, it is the selection in the "marketplace" or Purchase Service in my admin menu. With that I'm able to deploy Trial environment, but actually what I needed is the UDE / development experience, not only F&O as the UI.

    About the UDE deployment ->
Do I need to purchase all 3 of the storage ? File and Log ? and what about F&O capacity it self, is it separate and I need another purchase ?

And I read somewhere (which now I forgot where) that mentioned for this UDE, at least 1GB capacity available, is that correct, so what I have now is applicable ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Deploying a UDE environment on a "developer plan" is not supported today. It runs on a "sandbox plan" which will consume capacity.

As per your screenshot, it looks like you have 25 SCM licenses. That should give you the option to deploy environments. Are these bought licenses or it is part of a trial purchase?

Deploying UDE failed because no capacity
    Hi Andre,

First of all, many thanks for your help to explaining the issue.
And forgive me as sometime I find it difficult to understand Microsoft docs, may I have your guidance on what I should do / have ?

I should have the following license :

The following product and capacity licenses include storage for finance and operations data:

    • Dynamics 365 Commerce, Finance, Human Resources, Project Operations, and Supply Chain Management
    • Dynamics 365 Unified Operations plan
    • Dynamics 365 Operations – Activity/Device
    • Dynamics 365 Operations database capacity/file capacity
    • Dynamics 365 Operations Sandbox
I take it as I need to have either one of it, not all.

For that I have the license, and assigned to my user id which is admin of my tenant ->

As for the capacity, I do think that "eventually" I need to buy. Although I'm looking if there is a "Development plan" for this one, just like Power Platform back few years ago.

So I did bought the Database capacity ->

Do I need to purchase all 3 of it ? File and Log ? and what about F&O capacity it self, is it separate and I need another purchase ?

And I read somewhere (which now I forgot where) that mentioned for this UDE, at least 1GB capacity available, is that correct, so what I have now is applicable ?

    Kindly help to advice.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

When you deploy a UDE environment, this is deploying a sandbox type of environment including F&O apps and data. Indeed, that is consuming capacity. You can't use the trial for deploying a UDE environment. Please check if you have capacity available via the Power Platform Admin Center.
