I wish to know if your application Solomon is based on IP address or server name. We are planning to migrate Solomon TS server to a new cluster and change the IP address. Will this cause issues with the application .

I have the same question (0)NY1508,
Thank you for posting your question to the forum. Your question is not a black and white answer since it is not clear how your current Solomon (SL) is configured.
The SL thin-client machines have a mapped drive pointing back to the SL share on the SL server. It is not clear from your post if the TS is the SL server and client, or just the client.
Make sure that the location that the mapped drive is pointing back to hasn't changed. So if for whatever reason, the drive was mapped using the IP address, make sure to re-map the drive to the correct location.
Check out the 'servername' value in the domain table in the SL system database. This value should be the name of the SQL Server instance that holds the SL db's. Make sure this is the case: select servername, * from domain. Some sites will use the IP when aliasing the server so this is something to look at if the servername shows as the IP.
Aside from these, changing the IP address of the server shouldn't have much of an impact on SL so long as the hostname and domain remain the same.
Hope this helps.
