Non delivery report emails into CRM

Hi,

We have an environment sending emails using the server side sync and the mailbox is configured to incoming and outgoing, they both work ok for normal emails but when the email is sent to a wrong email address we can see the Non delivery report email in the owa mailbox but they don't go into CRM and we would like them to go so support team can run a view and check the emails sent to wrong addresses.

We've tried to set rules in the owa to move the NDR to a folder and then track the folder; tried to create a rule to forward the NDR to another email, so send as an attachment, to redirect.. none of them seem to work with this type of email.

Does anyone else experienced this and know a workaround for this?

    I haven't no, we want a more out of the box approach as it should be only configuration as we see.

    have you tried to programmatically all the failed ones 'set regarding' against the persons so that they can see as an Email Activity?

    Hi Rao,

    Thanks for this. Were you able to run any kind of rule on the report emails? we tried but they don't forward, and when moved to a specific tracked folder CRM ignores them.

    I have created a separate mail box/id to deal with those emails and set the rules or write a custom code to poll the mailbox

    Hi,

    They are as sent there as CRM wouldn't know if the email address existis or not, it was sent  to exchange.  But in the mailbox we can see the email saying the address doesn't exist, but CRM users can't see this now.

    could you not see them in email messages advanced find when the email was delivered with status as FAIL and could you handle them using fetchxml query for failed ones?
