Good morning

I have a question about the interaction beetween D365 and webapplication.

Today we are using Enterprise Service Bus and all webapplication use this Service-Apis. Now, we discuss the opportunity to use direct D365 Apis.

Are there good pracitces, architecture patterns for D365, which helps in this discussion?

Thx

Mciha

    Hi,

What do you want to do with APIs? Here are some common APIs of dynamics 365, you can refer to them:

    Here are some examples:

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Hi,

Dynamics CRM has built in support for publishing messages to the Azure Service Bus, you can refer to this post:

As you are probably aware D365 is message pattern oriented with it's API's. Obviously, you can use pub/sub via a bus as you've been doing as well. If you call the API's directly though, you do give up some opportunities for compositions and transforms that the bus affords you. On the flip side, the "tax" imposed on the calls is obviously less going direct.
