Hi,

After a recent update of Dynamics Business Central there are a couple of fields in the edit in excel form that are now read only while the field in the card is actually and editable field.

This is in relation to Pricing and Sales in the Item cards.  Below is an image showing that the fields are editable:

But when trying to bulk edit in edit in excel the Profit % field becomes Ready Only, error below:

We have also inspected the fields in Excel and not the  field is not marked as Read Only as per below:

Any ideas are much appreciated as we have been able to edit this field in excel for some time.

I have the same question (0)

    HI

I checked and Profit  % is a calculated field and is read only from the UI as well

So the error you are seeing is correct

Hi, when "Price/Profit Calculation" is "Profit=Price-Cost", Profit % can not be edited. Because this value is calculated automatically.

So if you really want to change Profit %, please set "Price/Profit Calculation" to "Price=Cost+Profit" or "No Relationship" first. This is the same on the screen as it is in Excel.

    Hope this helps.
