Cannot See Released Product unavailable for selection

I am attempting to enter an inventory movement journal for an item, but it is not available for selection. When I go to the Release Products screen for the legal entity, it is also not visible. If I attempt to release the product, the open product release screen shows an error that the product has already been released. I'm not sure where to go from here. The item in question is heavily used in other legal entities and I'd like to keep the item number consistent across the legal entities.

Any suggests to further troubleshoot?
