Pulling data from SL7 for sharepoint lists.

Some members of our team are looking to pull information about projects to display in various locations on our corporate sharepoint site. It is my understanding that business portal does not use a business data catalog to query sl. If we are looking to get this information onto our other sites do we need to create our own bdc using the data dictionary for sl or are there other other things exposed from sl/bp that we could use for the same purpose? Thank you for any advice.

    AFAIK SL/BP does not expose any documented way of pulling information.  With SL 8 (due sometime in 2011) you will have web services that you will be able to use.  For now, your best bet is to connect to your SL database and pull information or create your own bdc for the information you want.
