Hi,

Is there any way that we can hide the subgrid columns through javascript on load. Since the view which is shown is not editable. I need to hide 2-3 columns of that view. Can we do it through javascript.?

There is no way to do this in a supported way. Which sub-grid are you trying to edit - if it isn't editable I'm guessing it is the line items editor?

    Yash,

If you want to hide the columns in the subgrid, instead of using the javascript onload, why you don't just remove the display column from the view you are using in the subgrid?

You can create new View by removing the current view's columns that you use for subgrid.

Or correct me if this not want you want.

Or you want to hide the editable inline subgrid, because you said about 'is not editable'.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Yash,

There is no supported way to achieve hiding of Sub Grid View columns. I assume the sub grid is not editable for some users.

If you want to hide completely for every one, you can always do it from the Customizations area by editing / hiding column from the Associated View of that entity.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

Hi Aileen yes I want to remove couple of columns of editable inline subgrid, but its not allowing me to do that. Is there any unsupported way we can remove it?

Hi Mithilesh, Its the "Opportunity Product inline edit view" of opportunity product entity. Its now allowing me to do any changes in that. Is there any way we can achieve it through javascript when the page is loaded. I have a subgrid of "opportunity product entity" on opportunity entity.

    Yash,

You can edit the View through Solution Customization area. However, you need to have System Customizer Role or any other role having Customization / Publishing privilege to the System.

Open the above highlighted view and make necessary changes to the column. You can add and remove which you do not desire to have.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Hi Mithilesh,

Yes I tried all that. You'll be able remove the desired columns but you'll not be able to save it, since there is no option of "Save" on this view and also the "Save As" is not doing anything.

If you see the other views in the same entity they have an option of "Save" once you make any changes to that view.

"Inline Edit View" is actually not allowing to make any changes.

    Thanks

    Yash,

When you Click on Save As, you will get a Pop Up to enter your the New Name of the View as shown below

If you click on Save As and nothing happens, you need check for a windows update. If you are using IE11, the update is KB3008923 (IE11 fix). If it is there please uninstall it.

You may also do your customizations using Firefox Mozilla.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks
