When i click on start standalone on the scheduler, i'm able to see files getting created.
However when i use connect to service and close the app because i want it to run in the background then i'm getting nothing
First of all, verify that the service is running.
If it's running, it doesn't work and it's not obvious what's wrong, a good idea may be checking the log (Event Viewer > Application and Services Logs > Recurring Integrations Scheduler).

The event viewer is filled only if i use stand alone

What jobs are you referring to?
I've created a download job and whenever times comes to execute, the job gets paused.
And i did the same thing with standalone but it worked correctly.
I was referring to the download jobs only. If they are getting paused, can you tried to resume them? The trigger status should be normal. The download jobs I have setup go to "Paused" state as well and I resume them.

Yes i tried to resume it before but in the next excecution, the job gets paused again
Can you edit the download job and uncheck this checkbox and check if it works? There might be some exceptions while downloading.
I removed the tick box and now it's back to normal however i can't any new files created
Could you please share the account running the Recurring integration scheduler service?
It suddenly started working. No idea how.
If i go to services and check recurring integration scheduler.. The log on as field is local system.
If that's what u are asking.
I think this field will matter if i try to connect from another place other than my dev machine right?
