Stockkeeping Unit Card - Adding Toggle Switch to Auto Update Last Direct Cost Across Locations

I am wondering if there is a way to add in a toggle switch to the Stockkeeping Unit Card that would allow Dynamics to update all Last Direct Cost fields across multiple locations when one location is updated when it is on, and leave the LDC as separate values when it is off. Many costs stay the same no matter which location is purchasing them, but Dynamics only updates the LDC when a purchase/transfer occurs, and only to that specific location. Some products are priced by location, so the toggle switch would allow the SKU cards that need to be in sync to remain the same, while also allowing the SKU cards with costs by location to stay separate. This is mostly for reporting purposes. We could ask our tech partner to implement this, but I think it would be beneficial to know how to do this myself.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi,

There is a customization required to achieve this, you can connect with your development partner to do that.

There is nothing out of the box that would do it.

Customizing the system is the only way. If you do go ahead and customize the system and you only need this for reporting purposes it would be better to add a flowfield on them SKU card. This flow field would just be the Item LDC, so on the SKU you would now have the original SKU LDC field and the new Item LDC field. This is a lot simpler than modifying the existing SKU LDC field logic.
