Item Lookup Code

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

Good morning! I have a lookup code M.Y.Y.22.72186, when I go to Database>Item and put this code in the Lookup Item Lookup Code box the item was found, but if I only put the last five digits "72186" it returned nothing. Is there a feature in RMS in which I can look for items by just entering the last digits of the code. I have more than 3000 items.

Thank you,

Koymackoy

Hi Koymackoy, I don't think I follow You... Can You be more specific please? We wer talking about quick Item search by any part of the ItemLookupCode, don't understand this Print Label Wizard window part...

If You have what I suggested activated, You can dirrectly, after the search, add the item to a Trasnaction on the POS for example...

    Waiting for your reply.

    Kind regards, A.

    Hello Antonijo,

On the Print Label Wizard window > QuickScan window will it be possible to enter just the last digits here and will it automatically add the item upon clicking the Accept button?

    Thank you,

    Koymackoy

    RE: Item Lookup Code

    Hi Koymackoy.

As far as I know, the only option You have is changing the configuration option in RMS SO Manager (File / Configuration / Options / Item) and choose the Search form to be always prompted. Now when You go to Database / Items (the same will happen in POS) other form will open, where you can write any text of the ItemLookupCode and search...

Just as additional idea: if you need the same for the POS screen, for a specific searches, you may want to develop a small HTML screen, assign it to a Custom Button and use script code to create the search....

    Kind regards, A.
