Using MAPI in Dexterity

Posted on by 185

Using the necessary functiions for MAPI in Dexterity an error occurs which is baffling.  The exact same system running on different computers (clustomers) will get an error that says "Address couldn't be added to address list".  It work on 98% of our customers, but the other 2% get this error -- exact same system for all written in Dexterity.  Is there a setting that a customer is missing?  Should the address list be destroyed before using MAPI commands to "add addresses"?  If you have any idea or leads please respond.  Thank you.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, this is the forum of Microsoft Dynamics.

You can post your issue in a more appropriate forum.

We do not use dynamics. We have a homegrown system written in dexterity. That has a function library of MAPI commands that we used to send emails. Works for 95% of our customers, but 5% cannot add to the address list. They get an error as specified in previous post.  This is very frustrating because the code is exactly the same amont customers.

    thank you.....herb

    Hi,

Would you please specify which application you are using in Dynamics?
