Hello, a user faces these errors ever since GP installation. Where should I look to fix for this?

"A SQL network connection error occurred and your connection was cleared. This probably occured because all available connections to the server are in use. Please try again later."

Followed by:

"FP: Couldn't close table!"

Microsoft Dynamics GP is not responding.

"The stored procedure createSQLTmpTable returned the following results: DBMS:12, Microsoft Dynamics GP:0'

No actually it was te Network Switch connecting users to the server!

What kind of "switch" is this? Is it a setting inside SQL Server?

I am wondering whether the connection error may be related to CAL licensing.

This is actually complicated, many reasons could cause this, I worked with one of my customers on this for a week and finally it turned to be a "switch" that was unstable and disconnects users, you need to investigate from your side.

You are losing connection from your client to your sql server...i ran into the same issue on a new server installation. My fix was to make sure my client protocols for SQl where set to Shared Memory and TCP/IP only....Named Pipes and VIA are disabled...how you get to these options is determined by what version of sql you have.
