Regarding Asynchronous Workflow execution owner issue

Hi,

We have a workflow created with the name of one of the Admin wherein the background workflow run on custom status field change. The scope of the workflow is Organization and it starts when a record field changes.

The issue is whenever the status filed changes the it shows the modified by filed with Admin even when the status is changed by another user. The workflow scope is Organization and the current user has permissions in their role the workflow will execute as the current user but this does not seem to be happening.

Is there anything that we can do to change the modified by field whenever the workflow get triggered with the user who logged in or who made changes instead of owner of the workflow Admin. Any information on this will help. Thanks.

Background (asynchronous) workflows that are triggered automatically will always run in the context of the workflow owner. However, if you change the workflow to be real-time(synchronous), you have the option to run it either in the context of the user whose change initiated the workflow, or the workflow owner
