Hi Experts,
Can anyone explain me the Difference between item model group and item group.
thanks,
Nagarjuna
Hi,
If I would have to put the difference in a single sentence then I would say:
Item model groups are used for the valuation of your items according to various principles (FIFO, LIFO, etc.) whereas item groups are primarily used for accounting purposes to define the ledger accounts used when posting items.
You can of course find more information on MS Docs but the previous statement gives you the main difference/usage.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hi Nagarjuna,
Here is the link to understand in more detail. Item Model Group vs Item Group - AXSoup - Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations/AX User Group - Dynamics User Group.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Sreepriya.
