Changing Account Owner Causes Owner of Opportunity to Change

We're running into an issue that when we change the owner of account, all of the records associated with that account (including won opportunities) change to the new owner's name. 
 
Is there a way to stop this from happening? We still want to see won opportunities under the old reps name for calculating their sales numbers. We just want to change only the account owner moving forward, not edit any additional records.

    One possible reason:  the relationship behavior may be Cascade All so when account owner changes, the ralated entity owner also changes.
