Hi All,

Just wanted to know what is the use of running form Tutorial_WorkflowProcessor manually from AOT.

Is this form process the workflow batch?
Do we need to run this every time when new workflow request process.
If we need to run every time then can we schedule it to run as soon as new workflow request created. I know there is batch process in AX but can we run it or schedule it to 1 seconds.

Can you share any document links on this.

No, it works independent of batch process. as you will click start, it will create workitems, by looping over records of workflow tables

Do we need to run this every time when new workflow request process.

No. This is typically provided for demo purpose. suppose if you are standing in a demo , you cannot wait for your batch job to be executed for next scheduled time, all you can do is quickly run this form to execute workflow instances

by default in standard ax the batch jobs can have minimum of 1 minute delay, But I think the behavior can be customized. a search engine may help you for this point

It does the same thing as the batch, nevertheless you can run it at any time. It's useful for development and debugging, so can run workflows when needed and you don't have to debug batch sessions.

Running after every request sounds like a bad idea. If you need something to execute immediately, maybe you shouldn't call it throw workflow.

Hi Sohaib,

Thanks you very much for your feedback. Now I have clear idea about what Tutorial_WorkflowProcessor does.

But now issue I am facing is when I am submitting expense request, my flow or document status does not change. I mean expense report does not move to next level unless I run explicitly this form.

I have waited almost 5 min, as you said it will execute in 1 minutes time by default.

Am I missing something configuration.

Check whether the batch really ran and whether it finished successfully.

Pl. check the workflow submitted, in view history of Action button of same record that and is there any error in processing workflow. (it will on same as submit button) and try to resolve the error

gentleman there can be many reason for that.

few of those you can seen here, mentioned by workflow champ, Jonathan

apart from that different in time region, which is selected on batch reoccurrence and the time region which is on your batch server, can also be factor.

Hi Martin,

"Workflow message processing" job status is showing as Waiting.. and no job history also.

Is this same job I am looking

There is no Error Darshan. When I am running form Tutorial_WorkflowProcessor . Process/steps moves to next steps.

If your batch doesn't run, it obviously can't do anything. Check if other batches run, i.e. whether you have problem with batches in general or with this particular batch only.

Check you workflow configuration. also check the calendar and working time created. this might be problem. and resechedule batch job
