Hi,

I get this error when I want to create a new account "This record has been created since your attempt to create it"

We're using GP 10 any idea about this issue?

    Check out the KB Article# 857649: Error message when you try to save a new general ledger account in Microsoft Dynamics GP: "This record has been created since your attempt to create it".

    This addresses the exact issue that you are facing.

     Hi,

    In our case we encountered the problem and tried to follow the directions given by Microsoft in the KB, but it didn't solved the problem. It was still there, and curiously it affected only certain GL Account numbers (probably due to the corrupted index).

    The solution came from our MBS partner that forwarded us the tips from the FRx company. In fact the problem is entirely related to FRx and there is known procedure in the Program Directory of FRx to solve the problem. 

    Run the SQL script called 'FRx_67_Server_Based_Index_Scripts_Combined_GP.sql' and it will generate another SQL script in the output (text) that you have to copy paste into a new query window and run against your system. The 1st script determines the number of companies on your GP server and generates a script that loops thru all companies and corrects the indexing problem. If you want to run it only against a specific company, just copy/paste the section containing the corresponding company 'USE xxx ' until the next USE command.

    For us, it fixed the problem and everyone was happy again :-)

    This worked for us as well. The client came from 8.0 up to 10.0.

    The script is found on the FRx 6.7 cd.

    Mr. BK, if you initially run a File/Maintenance/Check Links - Account Master, this should help. If that fails continue with the suggestions above.
