Batch wise unit of measure and density

Hi All,

I am setting up a production  environment for process industry. My requirement  is,  I have a SFG and a FG. SFG produced in Batch, every time due to dilution the density changes example : Batch A can have 1L = 0.9Kg, batch B can have 1L= 1.1KG. Now the issue is when I consume the SFG to produce the FG, how do I change the consumption based on density. my standard formula consumption is 1L = 1KG.  is there a way to manage Batch wise unit of measure ? and in BOM journal what is the use of density field?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rajat,

Density option is used in consumption calculation - in production. If you look into the BOM lines - Setup Tab - you can see consumption calculation - where you can see the formula containing this density.

The output of this configuration you can observe in Production - in the picking list - in the calculation of consumption qty.

Have you looked into using "Batch attributes", specifically "Potency"?

It sounds like this could be a fit for this scenario
