Management Reporter not registering changes to GL Account user defined fields

We are using management reporter with dynamics gp. We have recently hit an issue. We have a report where each column is restricted by user defined field #1. So for example, each column is pointed to a different code like 1, 2, 3, 4. We recently realized that two accounts were not pointed to the right code. We switched the user defined field from 2 to 1. When we run the report, they are still showing up under the 2 column. I rebuilt the management reporter datamart but it is still not showing. Anyone have any ideas?

RE: Management Reporter not registering changes to GL Account user defined fields

The MR data mart can only see one code per main account number. An example with the TWO demo company:

-In GP, I found 2 accounts that share the same main account code: 000-5100-00 and 100-5100-00
    -In 000-5100-00, I entered 1 into the User-Defined 1 field.
    -In 100-5100-00, I entered 2 in the User-Defined 1 field.
-Wait a few minutes for the data to flow through the data mart.
-In MR, I only see 1 as an available code for User-Defined 1.

The reason for the above is that the data mart doesn’t look at the full account string for several account-related attributes. It only looks at the main account code. Therefore, all accounts with the same main account code (in this case, 5100) would need to have the same value in the User-Defined field in order to work. This is considered a limitation of how the data mart works. The issue applies to a few different account attributes including the User-Defined values, currency translation type, account category, posting type, typical balance, etc.
