Not able to create a project in Visual studio 2022

Hi Friends,

Visual studio version is 2022 and I have selected finance and operations template.During the creation of project it is throwing these errors and I am not able to proceed.

Please give me your inputs on this.Thank you.

Hi Badri,

Are you using a downloadable VHD, a Cloud hosted environment or a local Visual Studio with the new Unified Developer experience?

Were you able to create a project earlier on the same environment?

Hello,

You have to run Visual Studio with elevated permissions, so right click the Visual Studio shortcut and click on Run as administrator.

Hi Anton and Andre.Thanks for your response.

Anton I did run Visual Studio as administrator but still the same error persists.

Andre its a cloud hosted VM (LCS).Actually the Visual Studio was running on 2017 version and it was working previously.Few days back VS got upgraded to 2022 version.From that point of time it is causing this issue.

I would redeploy, a new environment will come with VS2022 installed as well as all the related software updated to the latest supported versions (SQL, etc), so now is a good time to start a fresh,

Hi Badri,

Probably the best option will be to redeploy a current environment where not only VS2022 is installed, but it also has some other configurations pre-configured.

In case you need to have data in the new environment, you can create a backup of the database in the old CHE and restore it to the new one. You can connect to DevOps to get all code that was checked-in before.

Hey Badri,

Newly published development envoirement from lcs comes with visual studio 2022 with a lot bug and there is no extension in visual studio 2019.

Some times i am facing this error(main info window bar) but when i click okey its creating project.

So i can suggest you go generate a package with hotfixes from your cloud hosted machines on lcs then apply deployable package it solved my problem. It might be fixes yours aswell.
