Hi,
Keen to get some community advice on how I should proceed with a modernisation project I am looking at. My team currently has a spreadsheet that performs many complex calculations and forecasts based on data that is exported from two sources, 1) a .NET application connected to a SQL database and 2) Our CRM (MS Dynamics). There are some shortfalls with the current process in that changes made in the CRM sometimes have not been flushed to the .NET apps' SQL database, so the calculations are sometimes incorrect. There are performance problems as the spreadsheet is 150mb, there is no way to audit changes to the calculation in the spreadsheet which change often and are then manually updated in the applications database! I would like to remove the spreadsheet component and have a a form or something that users can alter the formulas etc. to create forecasts and scenarios in real time that provide oversight and auditiability. My question really is could we easily integrate our CRM with the applications DB AND provide an interface to allow the users to select the data they want to work with then store the results.
Hi,
Would you please specify what database you are currently using?
Here are some documentations which may help you:
Replicate data to Azure SQL Database using Data Export Service - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs
Connect Dynamics with SQL Server - CRM Software Blog | Dynamics 365
If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.
Best Regards,
Nya
