Making 'Multiple Lines of Text' field dynamically visible changes the column formatting

Using MS Dynamics 365 On-Prem v8.2 and have tried this on IE11 and Chrome v75 and am getting the same results.

In a custom entity, I have 2 fields. One is a checkbox and when that checkbox is ticked, a multiple lines of text field is made visible via JavaScript. HOWEVER... the issue is that whenever this second field appears, it halves the width of any column it is in. I've tried this in lots of different column/section combinations.

The multiple lines of text field is formatted to have 5 rows. I don't get this issue when it is set to a height of 1 row.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm starting to think this is an 8.2 bug that's out of my control?

    Hi partner,

Could you provide a specific version of your D365?

Also, I think this problem only exists in a specific D365 version, and if you upgrade D365, it should be resolved.
