How to change a Journal Date that was mistakenly posted on the wrong date

Dear Microsoft Community,

Once again I look for the wisdom of the community in answering me a simple but very critical question.

Suppose I had posted a Journal entry on the 1st of May 2018, but later in the month I come to realize that the posting should have been actually been done on the 10th of May 2018. In this regard, leaving everything as it is, is there a simple manner in which I could only alter the date of the original posting from the 1st of May to the 10th of May without reversing the original Journal.
It would be a huge advantage and time saver without having to reverse the whole entry, as it is rather large. Please let me know if anybody has any lifehacks in this regard.

Hi ZoheibM,

Unfortunately, there is no simple and easy shortcut to get this corrected. You would have to reverse the transaction and create it new.

However, ...

...why would you want to change it from 1st May to 10th May?

That is still the same months and I assume that you are doing monthly reporting.

Does it really make a difference if you record this transaction just 9 days later?
