Import data function issue on two option fields

Hi all,

I can't update data of two option fields via using import data function. I can update all other fields from my template excel but i can not for the two option fields. Anyone has experienced this issue before ?

Hi Fikrep,

yes, definitely.

When you deal with excel import you must have unique column label.

Try to do this:

1) Change label of duplicated attribute (if it is "My Attribute" change it to "My Attribute (type)"

2) Import your data

3) Optional: rename back attribute

Ciao Francesco !

There is a field on the form with the same name but different type. But on the template xls file there is only one field exists. Does this situation cause a problem ?

Im getting no error and also i can update other standard and custom fields. But there is something wrong with two option fields. These are yes/no fields as you know but nothing happens when i import the the template. By the way field level security is not active.

Hi Fikrep,

please check the following points:

1) The column label of the option field is not duplicated

2) The column values are matching the value of one or more options

What error are you receiving? Just to ask, did you ensure that field level security is not in play? Also ensure that the values you are importing match the values of the existing two option fields. And while you are at it, try creating 2 new option fields and import to them as a test. Doing that may uncover other issues.
