Hello, everyone.

I have Frx Server installation on a server system which house the Database. I also have Frx client installations on some other systems. The clients' installation is connected to the shared sysdate of the frx on the server to be able to access the report or modifiy the report as the case may be.

Now, my problem is that when ever the semantic anti- virus on the Server system is enabled it blocks the connection to the server as such the Frx clients installations can't access the Sysdata to view reports. Semantic anti-virus allow you to create exceptions for some applications so that when enabled the application can access any server folder as installed, But to create the exception, the TCP port number for the application is required.

My Question is, What is the TCP Port number for Frx application?.

Hello Saheed,

Can I know what is your Symantec Anti Virus that you using? Coz last time my customer also have this issue so I log a report to Symantec Technical Center then they told me that you need to made some configuration during install the Symantec Anti Virus.

Hello Saheed,

Would you be referring to the port that Report Server uses or WebPort? If so, here is how to find these. If not, let me know and I can continue looking.

Report Server - Check the port by looking at the System tab in Report Server (Mine is 5171)

WebPort - Generally this is port 80 but you should be able to check the properties on the web site to determine it is different.
