Management Reporter company access issue

I have users setup with specific access to specific companies.  I included these users in a group and since all users in the group have different company access i left the group with no company access, thinking the company access would then come from the user.  This is not the case all users have no access. IF I include all companies in the Group then all users get access to all companies.  How do I give access to specific users to specific companies without  having to add users individually to the tree security?  With the Datamart MR does not need the GP log on so how will it know if a user has access to a specific company in GP?

    Just a quick note - groups are optional.  You can create the user, and attach them to several companies with out the group.

    I am going to have to do some other testing on what you have noted below that.

    Keep on posting and we will figure a solution sooner or later - sooner is always better.

    In my situation it would be the same as adding each user individually.  I have 35 users and 54 companies.  Most users only have access to one company and there are some users that have access to 4-5 companies.   I have it setup on the user company access and not on the group company access.  the weird part is they all have the same tree for a number of reports and they can all see one of the reports that the tree uses but not the other 5 reports that use that same tree.

    I have to agree with Michelle - we have only been able to make that security work on MR by making the groups on a company basis.

    The security does not come from the GP application - it comes from the AD user and the attachement to the Security tree.

    Create a group for each company.  Add the users to each group (company) the user should have access to.
