Installation Solomon 5.5

Hi All .

 
Need some info regarding installation of Solomon 5.5.
 
I would like to install Solomon 5.5 in a new server :
 
Server :- HP Proliant DL 380 G5 with 4 CPU 3 GB RAM
OS  :- Microsoft Window 2000 SP4 with SQL server 2000 Standard Edition.
 
Before installing i created new folder Solomon with subfolder Backoffice in C:\Program Files and shared the solomon folder as solomon.
 
Created the map drive as S:\\<server name>\solomon.
 
Installation using solomon CDs , when the Choose Destination Location appears i choose the map drive S:\\<server name>\solomon
 
When it comes to install the client i'm getting this error  
 
 
sqlredis.exe -  Application Error.
 
The Application failed to initialize properly(OxC0000006).Click on OK to terminate the application.

    What is the windows version you are trying to install the client on?  (or is this on the server?)

    I would like to install in a server with below specification

    I'm still not exactly sure what you are doing. 

     You said the error occurs "when I install the CLIENT," so I assume the server install went OK?  You should not need to install the client additionally on the SAME server, so I assume this is on a different server from the original install?.

    Have you been able to install a client on a workstation?

    Can you log in on the server you originally installed it on?

    Hi ,

    I would like to install solomon server and client in a same machine.Can i do that?

    I have not try to install client in workstation.

    I can't log in to the server since the installation was not complete because of the Client installation was stuck.

    • Ok... sounds like an MDAC issue (per my tech, Art).  Reinstall MDAC by hand.
