Integration D365FO with others systems

Dear All,

Really I am new in D365 F&O development and I have a challenge with web service

I need to create free text invoice automatically at run time from payment local system

But I don't know from where should be start which good API in 365 going me perfect

I read some articles about OData but in OData how can I work or add ledger dimension from account dimension in ledgerjournalline table

So please your ideas and some code examples for API CRUD

    I tried to work with OData and data entities but how can I set ledger dimension

    with account contain combination as 3 segments or more

    How about creating an external web service in your local system that D365FO could consume.

    There already are public data entities (and therefore OData services) for free text invoices. Look at FreeTextInvoiceLineEntity, for instance. It has MainAccountDisplayValue and DefaultDimensionDisplayValue fields, where you should be able to put financial dimensions. It requires some setup; look here, for instance, for more information.
