Automatic emails to vendors when canceling a PO?

I'm trying to find out how to send an automatic email to our vendors when we cancel a PO.  Currently it is canceled and we have to manually type out an email and send it to our vendor.  Is there a way to do this in GP 10.0?

    You could possibly use a SQL trigger to then send an email through SQL Email.

    We have received a similar request from our client, drafting a custom solution with below options.

    On a Manual button click – To get trigger a email template

    Check cancelled/voided transaction for every hour and send an email automatically

    Send an email when PO cancelled
