changing view in Financial Inquiry

Posted on by 645

We have the same version of GP Dynamics on two different servers.  When I access Financial inquiry and click on the magnifying glass, I get two different views.  One is a "Find by Account Number (etc.) view, the other is a view where I have to click on Find First, and then enter my parameters.  I don't like this view.  Is there any way to change this?

    OK,

    Problem solved!

You are definitely using the old 'green bar' lookup window in the second screenshot. You can change this in your Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID. Open it up and look for the 'accounts' window, select the SmartList version of the lookup window. This is true for nearly every lookup window in dynamics. Here's what it looks like:

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Hi Leslie,  Thanks so much for replying.  Here are the screenshots - same inquiry, two different companies on two different servers.GP-Screenshot-2.jpg [quote user="Kerry Travis"]

If you're talking about the Financial Inquiry window, it remembers the last setting. If other people are using this workstation, it's possible they chose another view. Another possibility is that the view has been changed using the free product from EthoTech called SmartSort. Are you the only one accessing the software from the workstation?

Could you maybe provide a screenshot of what you are referring to? You might be looking at the old lookup window on one server. Can you click on the column headings and get the data to sort? Check out the Alternate/Modified forms and reports. You should be using an Alternate form in the SmartList product dictionary.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Hi Kerry,

Have you compare the both server dynamics.set files.
