Automatic Item Lookup Code not working

We have set up the Automatic Item Lookup code feature and made it active. Restarted RMS and tried it out, when we leave the Item look Up code field blank and hit "Okay" We get the error message of "Item Lookup Code must be Unique"  How do we get this to auto fill the item lookup code!

    Sounds like you have some database corruption in that you already have a ILC of blank.

    To fix, close RMS on all machines, SO Administrator | File | Connect | put in your password | Database | Backup | Database | Re-index | Database | Check and if you're lucky SQL will fix itself.

    Otherwise, write down the error message and call your reseller.
