Adding Color Picker to List Page

Hello,

I am trying to create new extend field for color pick on account periods page which later will be used to print label for item.
I tried to follow instruction on https://simplanova.com/blog/step-by-step-guide-to-javascript-control-add-in/, some how I can't put it on repeater. It says

"A control of type 'UserControl' is not allowed in a parent control of type 'Repeater'"

Is there any other way to put colors on page list?

JS Control Add-ins are very expansive. Adding these into a list would drop down the overall performance.

Therefore you are receiving an error message in advance at design time that this is not allowed.
