    hi,

Use syntax Format(Blob field) for converting blob field to Text.

If it is a really long string that you want to do some string handling around i recommend you use an InStream object.

    lob.CreateInStream(Stream[,TextEncoding.value])

    docs.microsoft.com/.../createinstream-function--blob-

Then you can use instream.read or instream.readtxt depending on your need to read the complete text in one or if you want it line by line.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../instream.readtext-function

Hello, thanks for your write up. Would this method work for exporting image blob types to excel?

If not, could you point me in the right direction to do this? I’m using the excel buffer to export a report to excel through the job queues, but I need to add images of the items to the export. The only way I’ve done it was through dotnet and I can’t get it to work through the queues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
