But the result tell me, The account type selected  (Project ) is not supported.

How to resolve this issue ? Do you have any suggestions?

    Hi Jacky?

Are you able to enter journals with Project as the account type from D365 UI?

    Hi Jacky,

Have you tried using Open in excel feature and import records using Excel?

    Hi,

In GL journals you can record project expenses only.

Rather than doing that in a GL journal, which would require an adjustment, use the default project expense journal template, which can import those data out of the box.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I'm sure I can type a journal with Project as the accout type from D365 UI.

In fact , the following data are these which I had typed and I exported .  But I failed to import into D365 these data which I had exported. It's confusing.

I tried that. But it seemed that  Open in excel  does not support import journals with dimensions. But my Ledger needs to import dimensions.

    Thanks for your reply.

You means the solution is using  the default project expense journal template. But I don't konw how to get the project expense journal template. Could you provide the template for me or give me more detailed information.

    Best regards.

    Jacky

    Hi

I searched the functionality and found the Project expense journal in Open In Excel . I think  this is what you had said .

    Thanks

    Hi Jacky,

Good if you use Project expense journal. But 'Open in Excel' does support the Financial dimensions. you just need to update the Template. look at blog: community.dynamics.com/.../add-financial-dimensions-in-excel-template-in-microsoft-dynamics-365-finance-and-operations-apps You may also need to setup FDs to be used in template using form 'Financial dimension configuration for integrating applications' in D 365FO
