Dear Community,

My users have been doing archiving of Sales Orders, but recently when she archive sales orders, the archived sales order appears in the Archive Sales Order list,
but at the Sales Order List, the sales order is still there.

Will not the archived Sales Order list disappear when the archived version already in the archive list ?
Do we need to manually delete the Sales Order from the sales order list ?

Thank you !

    Hi
The standard behavior does not delete the original sales order, but rather creates as many versions of the archived document as you require.

Yes you need to manually delete the sales order. Sales orders are only automatically deleted by the system when you post from the sales order and you fully ship+invoice all the items. Otherwise, in all cases the sales orders must be deleted manually.

Just adding some information, if these orders have been fully invoiced, they can be cleaned up with the batch below.

    Thanks

    Hello Josh,

everything that colleagues said is right, but I would emphasize that you should not delete these Sales orders if they are still on the Sales Orders page before you analyze why those orders are still fully unposted, even if you think that they need to be deleted.

As Valentin said, those orders are not fully invoiced/shipped, and that is the only reason why they are still on the Sales Orders page. Once you fully invoice or ship those orders they will automatically disappear from the Sales Orders.

    Greetings

Archiving an Order in NAV only makes a copy. It is a snapshot in time of that Order, but it doesn't change the original order at all.
