I am looking to setup the requisition e-mail approval and see that we need to either use MAPI or the Communicator module to accomplish this. It doesn’t appear that we own Communicator and the documentation says that Outlook 97 or earlier is required if using MAPI. Can you confirm that this is correct? If so, I don’t believe our environment will support Outlook 97 – we just upgraded our Exchange environment and Outlook 2010. My understanding is that the Outlook upgrade was a requirement of the Exchange upgrade. Additionally, I believe our IT people said that we will be getting rid of MAPI – apparently it is antiquated.

Is this correct?

Any suggestions?

Hi Larry,

Based on the level of my own knowledge it is true that once you have upgraded your exchage to 2010 your outlook also must be change, though not necessarily to 2010 but to 2007 or later, but on the MAPI i cannot realy say mush
