Integration Manager - Error with customized window but access has been removed

Posted on by 1,540

I'm running Integration Manager for a Receiving Transaction (Shipment).  I am getting the error:

Cannot insert the value NULL into column '...', table '...POP10310'; column does not allow nulls. UPDATE fails.

The field is from a 3rd party table, but I have removed access to this alternate window, and I still get the error.  I have closed GP and IM and went back in, and still get the error with and without access to the third party window.

I would recommend you open a support case so someone can see what exactly you are trying to do.

Our table matches the table described in this article:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ff623950.aspx

Integration Manager however does not show the same fields, and this is not something that was customized in any way.

The problem here is that the table has been changed so IM is having an issue with it. You may also want to know that if this table is ever changed in a SP or new version that upgrade is going to fail as well. 3rd party products shouldn't be changing GP tables as that is going to cause problems with our upgrade process.

Hi Leslie. I'm using the eConnect adaptor for Receiving Transaction Entry (Shipment).

POP10310 is not a third party table but the only thing I could think of has to do with the third party product that uses the JOBNUMBR field and the scripts we had to run to interface with the barcode scanning software.

The link Sanjay provided shows JOBNUMBR as a field in POP10310. "Check this article for required fields for Purchasing Receipt Line msdn.microsoft.com/.../ff623950.aspx"

When I am mapping the fields in my data source (text) to the destination (Receiving Trx) there is no Job Number field anywhere in Integration Mgr. It shouldn't even be a required field. My table POP10310 has alot of blanks in that field for trx that did not originate from the third party software.

I will try the .set file option to rule out one of the third party products, but the other product is not in the .Set file - it is a bar code scanning software that scans receivings, and we ran their scripts to update stored procedures to accommodate an interface with the first third party product.

    Hello Sanjay,

We have migrated our GP from GP10 to GP2013. On GP 10 we had a RM integrations for Sales Transactions. On GP 10 it was working correct but on 2013 it is showing error of Document already exist for every 2nd line of Distribution due to this Transactions cannot get posted due to unbalanced distribution. We are using Source File as ARDIST and ARInvoice. At Distribution Record Source we are using  Default Non- Imported Please let me how to rectify this error.

    Regards,

    Sanjay Parab.

    Hi,

You mentioned that the field is from a 3rd party table.  Integration Manager does not work against third-party tables. My solution would be to remove this third party application from your Dynamics.set file before you run the integration. An easy way to do this is to put it as the last entry in the .set file and then, when you want to exclude it, simply reduce the number at the top of the set file by one.

The system will only read the number of entries as are indicated at the top of the set file.

Are you using the standard IM adapter or the eConnect adapter?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Yes I see the JOBNUMBR field in the table POP10310.

If I could I would map a field in my data source but JOBNUMBR is not showing up in the Destination Object in Integration manager Destination Mapping.

I tried changing Project Number and Cost Cat ID to blank but then i get an error saying "Invalid Object name 'PA41701'.

The issue 'might' be related to scripts we ran to facilitate a Panatracker interface with WennSoft (both are 3rd party products). I remember they told us not to run the scripts if we used any pre- or post- stored procedures so maybe this is just something we can't do.

I don't know how to put a screen shot on here if that would help.

It cannot be the JOBNUMBR field.  Though the field does not accept null, e- Connect by default will send blank, not null.  Check if all the required fields are populated.

    Cheers!

    Sanjay
