Hello Friends,

I need to set up new user in Microsoft Dynamics GP to use only sales part. How do I control access for that user limited to use sales part only.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure that re-activating a thread from 2014 is the best approach here.

Using GP Power Tools with the Security Profiler, I opened the Financial >> Cards >> Budgets option which opens the Budget Selection window and then the Budget Maintenance window (if I selected Dynamics GP)

Then click on the Security Information button and expanding the System level node to show the Security Tasks and Roles shows that both windows are part of CARD_0103* task and can be accessed with three of the built-in roles:

    Hi All,

Hope everyone good. Its been a long time coming to community asking questions.

I have a question related to security tasks in GP.

I need data of security tasks each series wise. Like

In Inventory series what are the security tasks associated with it.

    Financial Series Security tasks.

I searched almost everywhere but couldn't find query or solution. If you guys can share on this it would be really helpful.

    Regards,

    Hi Jay,

Regarding the Mail settings: Please make sure that you have properly configured the outlook in GP installed machine.

    Hi Jay,

Seems that the user(s) are having problem with their roles in GP.

    Try the below solution(s)

    1) Create a dummy user, Assign Task(s),Role(s),Company Access(User Access),User Security manually, check whether it is working fine to get the appropriate window.

    2) Create a dummy user, using Copy Access option from the existing users(above user) and try to access the appropriate window.

If it is working from the above steps we need to recreate the user security setup for the above user.

Also try to test the same by assigning DEFAULT USER id in User Security Setup screen's Alternate/Modified Forms & Report ID field to check the same.

    waiting for your reply.

Have you checked the System Requirements for setup e-mail setting from the above mentioned link?

You need to check your office version. If you have the 64 bit version install, then you need to uninstall it, and re-install 32 bit Office.

    Hope this helps!!!

    Hi Somakarpagamoorthy,

I already looked this link before. This link shows how to set up e-mail setting, but this doesn't have information contains setting up (enabling) mail profile for Dynamics GP.

    Thanks,

    Jay

    Hi Nataraj,

Below is security screen for the corresponding user.

I have tried many times login with my ID and also with the sa ID and password to their machine to check all the access I have get from their system(s).

But somehow user machines are not able to see company E-mail setting on their machines, but they can see those setting on my machine with their GP ID and password.

Not sure what is the issue though...

    Please help if you can.

Thank you again for your time and help.

    Jay,

I think this is related to your Outlook version compatibility. Please have a look on the below link to correct the issue..
