Release to Warehouse - stop creating Multiple shipments for a single SO

Hi,

I am using D365FO (Update 36).

My Sales Order has two lines (Each with Qty > 1)

On clicking Release To warehouse , instead of creating a single shipment for the SO, it creates 2 shipments. 

I do not observe this pattern in Ax2012. 

Did anyone faced this issue before?

    Is it possible that the lines have different modes of deliveries?

    I checked in sales line. They have same delivery address. Is it mandatory to set Consolidate Shipments ?

    Is there anything else different on the lines like warehouse?  

    If you go to Warehouse Management -> Setup -> Release to Warehouse do you have a screen called Shipment consolidation policies?  The reason I ask if you have it is it's a newer screen and has to be turned on via feature management.

    If you do have that screen what do you have in the right hand screen under selected fields.  Do both lines match that criteria?

    Hi Anitha,

    Is the shipment consolidation feature enabled in your environment? If so, ensure that a default setup is configured. Otherwise one shipment will be created per sales order linie.

    Thanks Alice and Scott. This set up of shipment consolidation is not enabled. I will give a try with this set up.
