Mapping of Status and StatusReason fields in CRM

Hi,

I want to have two integer columns in a database named as Status and StatusReason respectively. I want to map these values to state and statecode fields in contact entity so that when i import the data from database to CRM, these updated records gets modified and deactivates the contact record if statecode = 1 and statuscode = 2

Thanks,

Statecode=0 and statuscode=1 for active contact and Statecode=1 and statuscode=2 for inactive contact.

    Hope it clear your doubt.

yes, i know this.. But basically what happends i need to deactivate the record automtically by mapping the fields.. So, i defined these mappings as integer type and saved the values in these columns in database.. then, it should have been mapped to CRM.. But, not working

You mean to say, After data import Statuscode and statecode values are inactive but record is not inactive?

No, i mean to say, after data import, it doesn't have any effect on status..It is still active

    Hi there,

After import the records will be active first so you can't combine that with a "inactive" statuscode.

So you need to import/set only the statecode, that's it.

Quote: "One thing to note while importing records is that the status change will actually take place after record creation. "

    Hope it helps.
