Posted on by

Hello ,

Please I neet to set up an insights solution for onpremise version.

For my understanding, the application insights are only available for the online versions.

Is it possible to get some informations about the CRM for the on premiseVersion (2016):

1.Get a list of logins &source(web,mobile)

2.who get access to some entities

3.Get informations about custom reports(date of executions,users,duration)

Kind Regards,

David

I've been building out a connector for sandoxed plugins that will track telemetry from plugins and workflow activities to App Insights. Info available here if you are interested: github.com/.../wiki

    David,

The only way I see is to develop apps that will parse information from server logs and push to CRM or build report on top of that data.

Here's another example that it works with on-premise: celedonpartners.com/.../understanding-your-dynamics-crm-instance-with-application-insights

    Hi Michel,

I think that option (application insights) is only for the online version as andrew says.

    Thank you

    Hello Andrew,

I will explore the solutions you suggests, but I have a question:which function of the xrmtoolbox should I use?

    Hi David,

Besides the suggestions from Andrew, for point 1, you can also Audit User Access

    - see blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-crm-audit-user-access-data

    Hope this helps

    Hello,

Insights will not be shipped in On-Prem AFAIK.

Theoretically you can do everything mentioned.

    1. You can use IIS Logs for that purpose.

    2. XrmToolbox + security plugins can help you.

    3. This information is available in reporting services logs.

    Good luck.
