MPOS Database Synchronization

Posted on by 414
Hi All,

I'm very new to Commerce. I downloaded VM and configured POS and the MPOS is working fine

1. I configured new channel database
2. Downloaded CSU from the channel database screen and installed CSU.
CSU installed successfully and it created Cahnnel Database in the SQL. Also it created a new windows service called. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce - Async Client
3. Then i run JOB 9999 full sync to channel database from channel database screen job status is showing applied
but the MPOS is not showing newly create items and customers in the HQ even i run the customer and product jobs separately.
the download session status is showing applied, but the customers and items not moved to MPOS.

Questions:
MPOS will use Cahnnel database or is there any separate DB for MPOS?
if the MPOS using channel database how do i can verify the MPOS is using correct channel DB?
Am I missing any configurations?

From your message, it is clear that data synchronization is working. The data may not be showing on the POS due to configuration issues.

    1. When you create new items, you need to make sure that the item is added to the assortments of the store. After that, you need to run the "Process Assortments" batch job and then push 1040.
    2. If you created the customer in the back office, make sure that you have mapped the right address book on the customer profile. It should be the same as how it is mapped in the retail store. Then push 1010.

MPOS will use the Cahnnel database or is there any separate DB for MPOS? -MPOS doesn't speak to the channel database directly. It goes through the Retail server.
if the MPOS using channel database how do i can verify the MPOS is using correct channel DB? - You can only check which retail server the MPOS is talking to
    Am I missing any configurations?

    Hi,

Retail Modern POS can be configured to connect to a channel database either directly or through Retail Server.
The reference Microsoft Document about how to configure direct database tor MPOS:

You can troubleshoot following the Microsoft Document to check if the MPOS is correct configured to channel DB.
    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,
    Judy
