Updating Company Address on Invoice/Memo

(0) ShareShare

Hello,

We have a very old version of Microsoft Dynamics SL. Our company has recently moved office address and I am unable to update the 'Invoice/memo forms' that we have setup to show the new address. Any thoughts on how I access the report itself to make an adjustment to our company address? I have updated the address everywhere I can so I don't think this is how I get the reports to update. A step by step guide on how to update this report (and any other such as Statements) would be great.

Thanks

Rachel

RE: Updating Company Address on Invoice/Memo

    Hello Rachel,

I find on the Invoice/memo forms report that the address for the company the invoice was created in come from the Company Maintenance screen in the "Administration" module. This is where it is in the current version. Aside from where company maintenance is in your version (if you are older than perhaps version 7) I doubt that where it pulls the address from has changed. I checked the option to print company name on the invoices in the Option tab.

RE: Updating Company Address on Invoice/Memo

    Hello,

    Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately updating the company address in the Company Maintenance screen doesn't change this particular report.

Under the report tab of Invoice/Memo Forms there is an option in Report Format to choose 'Plain Paper Forms', when I do this it does show the updated address on the generated invoice. However back in the day a report format was set up specific to the company (different layout of the invoice to the Plain Paper Forms) which is the format that has always been used and this still shows the old address. So presumably I need to access that report format and update it manually? Do you know how I would do that?

I am not even sure where to look for the version of SL (I only started using SL in February so I have limited knowledge on the software) we are using but it has been in place since at least 2010.

Thanks in advance for any help.

RE: Updating Company Address on Invoice/Memo

    Dear Rachel,

The version of SL running is located from the little ? icon on the upper RH corner of the main SL application screen. Click on "About Microsoft Dynamics SL"

The reports , if they run different formats are located in the Report Control Maintenance screen in the Administration module, Type in 08760

They are labled, normally there are only two.

The reports SHOULD be in a directory called usr_rpts in your SL installation directory, the default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\SL\Applications   on the server its installed, you might access these through a mapped drive on your machine/workstation.

There is an option on the report to "print the company name", I'm not sure if this pertains to your issue you might see if that is checked on the ROI screen for the report under the Options tab.

    Best Regards,
