Where are local fields from modifier stored in SQL?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I have modified my PM master window by creating a new local field on the form through modifier.  I woul like to report on this field, but I cannot find it in my MS SQL DB.

Does anyone know what table these local fields are stored in?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

    Vaidy,

Thanks so much for your reply.  I did a little research, found some user guides and brought in our in-house programmer to help me out.  Upon launching the VBA editor all I see are the different modules I have for GP.  There is an item called MS Dynamics GP, but I cant see any forms, or view the code for this object.

It doesn't seem normal to me - any idea what may be wrong?  Do I need certain a security?  I was logged in as SA

    Tks

Local fields are not stored anywhere in SQL automatically. You must have to explicitly add a custom code using VBA to either use DUOS table or a typical SQL table (standard GP table / custom table) and save/retrieve the value of that particular local field onto that table.
