Hi Rosemary,
When a user is given access. The access in given as Roles and the tasks are defined under roles.
If you are talking about DEFAULTUSER ID which is created in Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports, then this is the ID created and the alternate/modified forms and reports are defined under that. And this ID is attached with the User Security. By defining this the user can access the alternate/modified forms and reports which is defined unde DEFAULTUSER.
I hope this explanation will clear your doubt.
Thanks

The Task ID - DEFAULTUSER includes predominately lookup windows. This task was added as convenience. Having access to the lookup window will not give you access to the data, you need access to the main window first. If there is some object that you would like all users to have access to, you could add it to the DFAULTUSER task.
Kind regards,
Leslie
This question was answered, but, I have another regarding the same topic.
We are currently using Dynamics 2013, I would like to remove 'returns' from specific users in a particular department. I have created a specific task with only 'invoice' document type. I have also created a 'role'.
But when I go into 'user security' to assign it to a user I am not seeing the 'task id' .
There are currently four 'task ids' along with 'defaultuser'.
You cannot assign tasks to a user. The task must be added to a role and then the role assigned to the user.
